The photo features a young woman with long, wavy blonde hair. She is wearing a dark green short-sleeved shirt and is sitting indoors, seemingly engaged in conversation with someone whose blurred shoulder is visible in the foreground. The background outside the window is slightly out of focus, showing some greenery and a building, suggesting a casual and comfortable setting. The woman's expression is warm and attentive, indicating she is actively listening or engaging in a friendly conversation. The overall ambiance of the photo is bright and airy, with natural light illuminating the scene.

Sometimes we need help to figure out our best next steps in addressing the challenges that life throws our way. Counseling is a safe place to process your experiences in a supportive environment. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia as well as a National Board-Certified Counselor. I enjoy working with children from age 8 to adulthood.

In my experience, therapy at its best is a collaborative journey between the counselor and the client. This supportive process leads to desired outcomes and positive change. I have a warm approach and a positive regard for others. I work collaboratively with my clients to build new skills to better navigate stressful situations. My approach includes identifying strengths and resources to support growth and change in the life of an individual. My approach to therapy is meeting individuals where they are while helping them identify specific goals for treatment.

The wonderful news is that for most people, counseling is for a season. I am passionate about working with individuals, to help navigate stress, pain, and loss. I use an integrated and systematic approach to therapy utilizing CBT, DBT and additional evidence-based therapies when appropriate. Some of the services I offer in my practice include treatment planning and diagnosis, crisis management, and referrals to other professionals for consultation.

I have experience working with individuals from different backgrounds and specialize in treating anxiety, grief and depression using evidence-based approaches. Additional areas of experience include working with individuals struggling with life’s challenges including career and vocational changes, phase of life adjustments including empty nest, career change, parenthood, and retirement, personal growth, trauma, grief, anger management, chronic pain and illness, intense anxiety, hopelessness, and inability to concentrate.

There is hope in your journey and healing.
